Golden Grove Primary School was the first stop on the "Share Your Life Campaign"...and we were really excited about this opportunity to spread the truth of the liberating power of the gospel to the young and impressionable minds of our future generations. As the students came up to the basketball court near their school the sounds of "JumPraise Mixtape" filled the atmosphere and their eagerness for what was to come urged us on.
Pastor Casca Etienne opened up with prayer and we introduced ourselves to the 5th and 6th grade students and their teachers. But my goodness, the heat was on...Antigua's ray of sunshine did not disappoint...but we were not the least bit deterred mind you :-). Hosea Wiltshire "Zea de KID" (C.E.O of Backyard Records) is a young, gifted minister with a heart for the mission of the kingdom and he shared his song "Say No", a single from BRTM's "Gripped" Mixtape. The students joined in the chorus, declaring "NO" to drugs, gangs, lust....and any destructible thing that would hinder an abundant life. Then it was "Restoration Time" with Tina Walters, a dynamic powerhouse in the Gospel Reggae arena, and she let the students know that they had the power to take back everything that devil stole from them. "Restoration time/ me ah tek back every t'ing me own/ it is mine...." Reborn closed out the session encouraging the youths to keep pressing on no matter what...and never forget that the God's true love is always available to them. He ministered his new single "Love Is true". Next stop? Boy's Training School...this Friday September 27th. Off to a great start indeed. ~posted by S.C
