This area is designated for Nomination Recommendations for the Island Groove Awards.

The Nomination Recommendation from the ABGMA Selection Committee does not give proposed Entrant an automatic placement as an official Nominee.
Each member is able to submit at minimum one (1) entrant or a maximum of five (5) entries per Category in area of expertise only. Complete the required information for each entrant.
All Entries must be published on digital/streaming platforms between January 1st 2019 to February 29th 2024.
All Entrants must be of Antiguan or Barbudan nationality or a resident thereof.
At the end of the Submission period all entries will be reviewed [Deadline to Submit all Entries is April 30th 2024 at 11:59 AST/ET | 10:59 CT | 4:59 GMT] .
The Executive and Entry Verification Board will then review all entries and send forward the Top 10 in each Category for the1st Ballot for Nomination Consideration. This will occur between May1st - May 12th 2024.
The Island Groove Committee will then score these Top 10 entries in their genre of expertise after the Review Process using the following percentage system criteria : 30% for Lyrics, 40% for Composition, 30% for Production. What this means is that each entry submitted will be scored in range up to the max percentage according to the aforementioned (See more details in section below) from Tuesday May 14th - May 24th 2024.
Deadline for completion of the scoring is May 24th 2024 at 11:59 AST/ET | 10:59 CT | 4:59 GMT.
Public Vote will be held from July 1st - July 31st 2024.

Structure and development of the theme, message
Appeal and cultural relevance.
Rhyming and mastery in use of poetic expression, storytelling, coherence to the theme of the song.

Overall music arrangement, harmony, melody.
How well each element of the music flow together; dynamics, tones and frequencies.
Longevity and timelessness of the composition. Does the song have enduring qualities in regards to maintaining relevance in the future.
Skill and expressiveness of the vocals, range, tone, dynamics, articulation and control.
Authenticity to the genre
Creativity, craftsmanship and overall artistic vision.
