About W.O.E.M
Women of Esteem Ministries is a volunteer based organization which has been in existence since late 2011. Over the last 2 yrs, we are well recognized for our unwavering dedication to serving the nation of Antigua & Barbuda. We are dedicated to empowering abandoned, at risk women, teen girls and the family unit entirely.
We assist women who have been silently or openly discriminated against. Such acts limit their lives and invade their personal identities. Self esteem has become a national crisis in our country. The majority of young girls & women today feel they do not measure up in some way including their looks, performance in school, jobs and relationships. Most disturbing is that individuals with low self esteem are engaging in harmful and destructive behaviors that can have a lasting imprint on their lives.
Women of Esteem believe in educating women, our future generation, by supporting them so they can embrace their unique beauty, believe in themselves, and reach for their dreams. WOE focuses on developing positive self images, building body confidence, establishing positive mindsets and independence through responsible decision making while setting and achieving goals.
WOE have a divine passion for sharing God’s word as we Embrace, Educate and Empower each individual through our various rehabilitation programs, motivational seminars and benefit initiatives. Major fundraising efforts to complete our ‘Temporary Care Facility’ to shelter the above mentioned individuals are well on its way to guaranteed success. We are an advocacy group whose actions speak loudly through our dedication to serving humanity in today’s society.
Our unique strategy to spread our message is a radio talk show which communicates daily with radio listeners by sharing information that would trigger enlightenment on all aspects of one’s life; Spiritually, Physically and Mentally. This radio talk show is morally grounded and was designed to re-introduce stimulating conversations on any topic/issue/or social concern so as to revive our awareness about how we ‘Esteem’ ourselves.
Our program is aired 5 days a week from Monday – Friday (11am – 2pm); Wednesday (11am – 12Noon) on Crusader Radio (107.3FM). http://www.ustream.tv/channel/crusader1073
