Minister L.K is a Gospel Psalmist from the island of St. Kitts who is no stranger to the gospel music scene across the Caribbean. Know for his singles, "Christian Soldiers" and "Where Is the Love"...L.K has ministered at many gospel events. He is currently in the studio working on his new album "Through My Eyes" and would like for you, the general public, to be a part of the creative process and suggest a name for a song on the album. The winning selection will become a single on the upcoming release, which will launch in April of 2016.

I recently got in touch with "Minister L.K" and he happily agreed to do this blog feature for us....and for that I am grateful. Get in on the conversation below...as he is our "Psalmist Spotlight" for this week.
Stanshaw: Who is Minister L.K?
Minister L.K: A youth from St. Kitts with a passion to serve Christ....from the ghetto striving for perfection.
Stanshaw: What was one defining moment in your life that changed you?
Minister L.K: Getting a son out of wedlock. Persons who I thought would actually support me became more like Pharisees..just seeing who people are you know...they are the ones who judge you the most...when they should be showing compassion. I am not making an excuse for sin...as society has categories, small, medium and big..but in God's eyes sin is sin....However, from the mature Christians I expected a lot more...so that really changed my outlook.
Stanshaw: How would you define Christianity?
Minister L.K: A relationship with God through his son Jesus Christ. Just like a husband and wife have love for each other...and no matter how tough things may get at times....that love for each other always causes a draw back like a magnet...It's "normal" in a perfect relationship with Christ.
Stanshaw: Name one thing that you look forward to each and every day.
Minister L.K: I look forward to life...doing the things I love, music..on a regular music..looking forward to spreading the word throughout the nations full time.
Stanshaw: What is effective Ministry in your view?
Minister L.K: Effective ministry is one word "Reality!" Some of the songs I write speak to things that are happening in our country and show that it needs Christ to change..so the reality of the issues are addressed. It's not enough to say "Jesus love and died for you"....we must show how through the way we live..Can't preach Christ and don't live it.
Stanshaw: Where do you see God taking you in the future?
Minister L.K: I am hoping for a reach on a global scale to youths..across the world.
Stanshaw: Who are some of your inspirations and how would you say they have influenced you today?
Minister L.K: Pastor Lincoln Conno; loves the gospel and always keeps it real, my Spirtual mother Linda Hepburn and her husband Matthew Hepburn. Musically, I love Deitrick Haddon, Kirk Franklin for his radicalness, Papa San and also Mario "DJ Bless" of Kingdom Soundz.
Stanshaw: Favourite gospel song of all time.
Minister L.K: "Yes" by Shekinah Glory
Stanshaw: What would you say is your core message to this generation?
Minister L.K: God made you different for a reason, you are puzzle that only he can put together. Your imperfections were given to you by God, look at them as learning tools....learn from your mistakes and teach others.
